The project refers to the construction of a judicial building in Athens, which will house the Court of First Instance and the Prosecutor’s Office. The new building will be positioned between the Court of Appeal and the Magistrate’s Court to co-locate all the civil and criminal justice services, improving collaboration and efficiency.
Housing the Court of First Instance and the Prosecutor’s Office in a modern building that meets current requirements for the administration of justice will facilitate all those involved in the judicial process and accelerate the implementation of justice.
In addition, the new building will support new reform initiatives such as e-justice, upskilling and training of judicial personnel, etc. Furthermore, the new judicial building will satisfy all environmental and energy efficiency requirements, reducing its energy consumption and minimising its carbon footprint.
The project is implemented through the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan “Greece 2.0” framework with European Union funding – NextGenerationEU.
