The Marina of Lefkimmi will be located within the Port Land Ζone of the Lefkimmi Port, which has been approved according to the decision No. 21/08.06.1999 of the Port Committee of Corfu and the decision No. 8567/23.06.1999 of the Secretary General of the Ionian Islands Region. The management of the Land Zone of Lefkimmi Port has been assigned to the Corfu Port Authority S.A (O.L.KE. S.A.).
All shares of O.L.KE. S.A. have been transferred from the Hellenic Republic to the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), pursuant to Article 2 of Law 3986/2011 in conjunction with decision No. 222/5.11.2012 of the Interministerial Committee on Assets Restructurings and Privatizations (Government Gazette B’ 2996/12.11.2012). In this context, according to paragraph 1d of article 31 of Law 2160/1993 and article 159 of Law 4635/2019, HRADF acts as the Planning Authority for the development of the Marina of Lefkimmi.
The Committee of Tourist Ports has already opined on the development of the Marina of Lefkimmi. The relevant study provides for the major investments in relation to the development of the marina, which entail the design of a well-organized basin, with modern facilities, to serve the comfortable and safe mooring of yachts of various sizes.
