The property has great historical and cultural significance, considering that it was built during the reign of King Otto, by the Danish architect Christian Hansen. The facilities were modified by Ernst Ziller between 1871 and 1891 and have been listed as historical monuments, since they are remarkable examples of architecture, directly linked to the history of the Baths of Kythnos.

On the plot we find the two thermal springs, a) the saline spring of Agioi Anargyroi and b) the ferrous spring of Kakkavos.

The property is located in the traditional village of Loutra, Kythnos, and consists of hotel facilities, a hydrotherapy center which has 14 separate marble baths and support infrastructure. It is considered the first thermal-spring tourism facility to operate in Greece. The hotel, which ceased operating in 1999, is located in a three-storey building and has 46 rooms.

The property was sold through e-auction IX, for a total price of €3 million, and the contract was signed in June 2022.
