Further development of cruise activity in the ports of Katakolon, Patras and Kavala

HRADF holds 100% of the shares of the Patras Port Authority S.A. (Patras Port Authority S.A. (OLPA S.A.) – HRADF) and the Kavala Port Authority S.A. (Kavala Port Authority (KPA SA) – Central port of Kavala “Apostolos Pavlos” – HRADF), as well as the right to sub-concess the operational units, port operations, and other facilities in these ports to third parties.

Additionally, HRADF holds the right to grant the concession for the use, management, and exploitation of areas within the land and maritime zones of the Port of Katakolon.

As part of its ongoing efforts to optimize the development of its asset portfolio, HRADF announced on December 30, 2024, the launch of an international tender process for the further development of cruise activities at the Port of Katakolon, at a section of the old (northern) Port of Patras, and at a section of the Central Port of Kavala “Apostolos Pavlos.”

The tender for the development of cruise activities consists of two (2) Lots:

  • Lot 1: concession of the right to use, maintain, operate and exploit the Port of Katakolon, & sub-concession of the right to use, maintain, operate and exploit a section of the old port of Patras (managed by the Port Authority of Patras S.A.), with a minimum duration of thirty (30) years.
  • Lot 2:  sub-concession of the right to use, maintain, operate and exploit a section of the central port of Kavala “Apostolos Pavlos” (managed by the Kavala Port Authority S.A.), with a minimum duration of thirty (30) years.

Interested Parties may submit an Expression of Interest for one or both lots of the tender by February 28, 2025.

The advisors for HRADF in this tender are “Fortsakis – Diakopoulos & Partners Law Firm” as legal advisor, “Octane Management Consultants” as financial advisor, and “Royal Haskoning DHV” as technical and economic advisor.
